So, we have decided to start what we are calling the Artist of the Month. The whole idea is pretty self explanatory. We are going to find a band or artist that may not be that well known among the general public and introduce you to their music. The first Artist of the Month is the solo project of actor Jason Shwartzman. Shwartzman, a former as well as founding member of the band Phantom Planet, has returned with his solo project entitled Coconut Records. Although this is a solo project, Shwartman has collaborated with other artists including Brandon Boyd, Zooey Deschanel, and Ben Kenney. Coconut Records has released two albums thus far. Coconut Records is quickly becoming one of my favorite bands, and I think the songs that are posted will show you why. I hope you enjoy.
